New Development a Breath of Fresh Air
Work is under way on a new apartment development in Alderley, located in Brisbane’s inner north. Breathe Residences fuses modern design with a green oasis to create the ultimate urban environment for the inner city.
Construction has commenced on Breathe Residences, a collection of 51 apartments set across five levels and centred around a lush garden courtyard – uniquely designed to be the “lungs” of the community.
A collaboration between Capital Prudential, Geocal Group, Loucas Zahos Architects and GuavaLime, Breathe is situated just 6km from the CBD and close to shopping, schools, hospitals, and Queensland University of Technology.
An official sod-turning event was held at the Lorne Street site on October 12, attended by Member for Ferny Grove, The Honourable Mark Furner MP, Minister for Agricultural Industry Development and Fisheries and Minister for Rural Communities, along with the delivery team, exclusive selling agents and many of the development’s first buyers.

Position Property Principal Richard Lawrence said Breathe had been very well received by eager buyers in the local community, with Breathe one-bedroom apartments starting at $519,000 now sold out, and a selection of two and three-bedroom apartments still available.

First home buyer Ella Green, 32, of Taringa, recently purchased a two-bedroom apartment at Breathe and is looking forward to moving day.
“The connection to nature really appealed to me,” she said. “It’s lovely to think I will be surrounded by trees and greenery and yet still be so close to the city. It’s like nothing I’ve ever come across before, and I’m sure I’ll be spending time on the rooftop terrace.”
Executive Producer of Queensland Ballet, Craig Cathcart, 45, is also among the early buyers, currently living in Enoggera and having purchased a two-bedroom apartment on the fifth floor.
“I love the location and the fact it’s a new build,” he said. “It’s much closer to the city for me and it’s great to be connecting with other buyers already.”
Speaking at the sod turning, Mr Lawrence said “Today marks an important milestone in delivering the vision for Breathe Residences”.
